@etexfisherman48 I agree that we definitely need to hold our government officials accountable and vote them out of office. Its unfortunate that we don’t have many good candidates to choose from this time around. I personally have not been too excited about the prospects of 2014 elections. do you know any good candidates?

Also, your first sentence stating “Your electricity rates must necessarily sky rocket” Where did you get this idea from? Can you elaborate on what you mean?

I agree with most of your post I am just interested if our government is trying to raise our electricity costs and why.

Thanks

Coffee Addict, if you look up how socialism and communism starts, you will find that one of the main factors is that you have to get the people of the country as needy as possible, once they are hurting, then you can step in and say that the people shouldn’t worry, their benevolent, caring, loving government is going to take care of everything. This is best done by someone who is charismatic and seems sincere, like some view mr. obama. Badda Boom, Badda Bing, your now living in a socialist/communist country.

These steps are all taken in small increments and typically done to make it look like the government is helping, when in fact they are just tightening the noose.

Do not be mislead all of the things that the present administration has been doing since day one is to turn this country into another socialist nation. This is just part of it.

Here is what mr. obama said about the electricity rates going up.

He is a radical. I can’t understand how people see footage like that and do not see him for who he is. He doesn’t believe in capitalism, or in allowing businesses to create jobs so that people can make a life for themselves. He is a radical. I am shocked from that video.

Two Cents, you have to remember…he…is not the radical here, we are. To the gimme’s, which are many, he is the voice of reason, the man for the people. I have heard so many people talk about how charismatic he is. I don’t see it.

The thing to remember I guess is that a lot of people don’t care about working, they care about being given their livelihood.

They see this country becoming a form of utopia where they will be given a place to live, a car to drive, plenty of food, free utilities, and nothing to do but enjoy life. And if all they have to give up is their freedom, they must see it as a good trade or they wouldn’t be wanting it so bad.

Samuel Adams 1776

“If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude than the animated contest of freedom, go from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen!”

David, I am still shocked the President said that about our energy prices. My energy prices jumped over 130 dollars in January. I cannot afford any higher. Luckily my healthcare prices have not changed but these rising prices will crush me. I am looking for another job to get some more income so I don’t have to worry if any prices rise.

James, you are right. Thanks for posting the video. I agree with Two Cents that he is a radical.
